Experience the hotel industry up close: A tour of Hotel Arcade
On September 22, we had the pleasure of welcoming three groups from the Sins High School to our open house.
We were thrilled by the great interest in careers in the hospitality industry! 🏨✨
Our receptionist, Doreen, led us through the day. After a presentation on training opportunities, it was time to explore and try things out for ourselves!
- 👃 Sensory Course: What flavors can you identify?
- 🛏️ Troubleshooting in a Hotel Room: Did Housekeeping Really Think of Everything?
- 🛎️ Role-playing game “Guest & Front Desk”: Mastering typical situations from everyday hotel life
- 💬 What makes a hotel guest happy? Here’s what the teens had to say: friendliness, a clean room, a comfortable bed, and good food. We feel the same way 😊
To wrap things up, hotel manager Eveline Betschart shared her personal career journey in the hospitality industry, and each group received a little surprise 🎁
A big thank you to the Sins and Surrounding Area Business Association, as well as to Thomas and Michi from Bütler Elektro Telecom AG (Baumann Koelliker Group) for organizing this event!
